In the aftermath of a bitter marriage breakdown, Mandy Jennings is struggling to survive. While her ex is playing happy families with a new partner, Mandy is fighting to keep a roof over her head. Faced with the prospect of losing her home, she has no other option but to rent out the spare room.

It should be the answer to all her problems, but Mandy has no idea of the trouble that’s about to come knocking at her door. The new lodger isn’t all they seem and, with a demanding new love interest, a teenage son kicking up a fuss, and an ex who’s determined to get back inside the house, Mandy has to wonder if this is the worst decision she’s ever made.
